I Need Help

The best way to begin receiving legal services is to call us. You can also come to one of our offices. Cuyahoga county intake is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 9 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Thursday between 9 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., except on legal holidays. In Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake and Lorain counties, you need to call first for an appointment.

If you are deaf, deaf-blind, hard-of-hearing or speech-disabled, you may contact us through the Ohio Relay Service at 711 or 1-800-750-0750.

Upon request, we will provide translation services so that you can communicate in your dominant and/or preferable language.

Once you contact us, here's what happens:

  • First, we find out if you are financially eligible for our services.
  • Next, we find out if your case is the type of case we handle. Be sure to bring all of the papers you have about your legal problem.

Then we will either:

  • Give you advice or educational materials to help you; or
  • Schedule an appointment with a staff attorney; or
  • Refer you to a volunteer attorney.
