The best way to begin receiving legal
services is to
call us. You can also come to
one of our offices between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
or between 1 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday
through Friday, except on legal holidays. In
Lorain and Lake counties, you need to call
first for an appointment.
If you are deaf, deaf-blind,
hard-of-hearing or speech-disabled, you may
contact us through the Ohio Relay Service
at 711 or 1-800-750-0750.
Upon request, we will provide translation
services so that you can communicate
in your dominant and/or preferable language.
Once you contact
us, here's what happens:
- First, we find out if you are financially eligible for our services.
- Next, we find out if your case is the type of case we handle. Be sure to bring all of the papers you have about your legal problem.
Then we will either:
- Give you advice or educational materials
to help you; or
- Schedule an appointment with a staff
attorney; or
- Refer you to a volunteer attorney.
